On Top of the World in South Africa

South Africa has some of the most stunning vistas I’ve seen.  Here are two of my favourite places to stand on the edge of a cliff and just stare at the view…

Standing on the top of Table Mountain looking out over the Twelve Apostles with the Camps Bay area just glimpsed to the left.

This photo is taken from the edge of Table Mountain looking over Cape Town.  Robben Island can be seen on the left of the picture.

Moving on to Mpumalanga Province near Kruger National Park, the Three Rondavels are found along the Panorama Route which also takes in a series of waterfalls, God’s Window viewpoint and Bourke’s Luck potholes.

A little to the left of the Three Rondavels lies the Blyde River Canyon.  I thought this viewpoint was more interesting than that of God’s Window but neither should be missed.

Just don’t stand too close to the edge – there are no guard rails!
